Who We Are

Our shop is rated #1 in Jacksonville by consumer vote, beating out the dealerships and other independent shops for the quality and level of services we provide. We are a heavy line shop offering everything from oil change and tire services to full engine swaps and tear downs. We are also well known nationally for our performance and tuning services. We always shoot straight with our clients, we don’t haggle, and we don’t throw parts at cars. Our customers know they can count on our integrity and ethics, and we stand behind our work with 2-year, nationwide warranties.

Our shop is a fast-paced, team environment. We work together diligently each day to reach our goals. Our team members are enthusiasts and love all things European & Exotic auto. Our owner, Shawn Welk, makes regular appearances on the YouTube channel Savage Garage. We are sponsored by LIQUI-MOLY, we host car meets at our shop, and we also participate in rallies and events across the nation.

Our Location & Surrounding Areas

We currently have one location in Jacksonville, Florida just blocks from the ocean, and we will be opening another location in the Jacksonville area in 2022. Jacksonville is an incredible place to live, work, play, and raise a family. There are so many things to do… beaches, parks, shopping, and more, and Florida does not have state income tax.

The Duval County Public Schools rank among the top in the nation. US News & World Report just ranked River City Science Academy as the Best Elementary School, Best Middle School and Best High School in the nation. Other top-ranking schools include San Pablo Elementary, Alamacani, and Jacksonville Beach Elementary which are miles from the shop, and many more K-12 throughout the Jacksonville area.

Pay, Benefits & Relocation Expenses

We offer incredible pay and benefits, and we pay for continued education. We provide daily meals prepared by our personal chef, as well as snacks. For top technicians seeking to relocate from cities outside of Jacksonville, Florida, we will also help with a portion of your relocation expenses.

Qualifications

If you are applying for one of our technician job openings, you must have provable certifications. ASE is the minimum we will accept. Factory certifications are preferred. You must own your own tools. You must be proficient with technology and digital visual inspections. You must have a valid driver’s license. Welding, performance and motorsport experience are a plus.

The Interview Process

Once your application has been received, we will let you know if you have made it to the first stage of the interview process where we will get to know each other and decide if you will be a good fit for our team. For all applicants located in Jacksonville, FL, all stages of interviews will be in person interviews at our shop. For all applicants located outside Jacksonville, FL, we will have virtual interviews for the first stage and then we will discuss having you come to the shop for an in-person interview. For technician jobs, depending on your references and skills, we may request a working interview or a trial working period so we can see how you work.
