What is included in the Porsche Oil Change Service?
Intermediate Oil Service is simply an oil change and oil filter replacement for your PORSCHE.
How often should I schedule A Porsche Oil Change Service?
You should schedule an oil change for Porsche vehicles every 3k-5,000 miles, or rely on your Service Indicator Lights or Service Interval System to tell you when you’re due at the shop.
Why is this important?
An intermediate oil change is recommended between the scheduled service intervals to help keep your vehicle running to the best of its ability, giving your Porsche increased longevity. By keeping attentive service records to show how much you’ve cared for your Porsche you’ll also maintain higher resale value.
What should I ask about when scheduling a Porsche Oil Change Service?
When you schedule or perform an oil change, Porsche specific motor oil or a PORSCHE recommended oil must be used. Different year models have different needs, so make sure that your technician has the correct oil available, and verify that your shop or technician will be using one of the recommended synthetic oils in your vehicle.
More About LIQUI MOLY
The heart of your car is its motor, and motor oil is its blood. Not all oil is the same. As the performance in motors continues to develop, the need for high-quality oil products is also on the rise. Nowadays, the oil had to do a lot more for your motor than just lubricate and cool. It also has to work when it is at very high pressures and temperatures. The oil also has to clean the motor of fuel particles, acids, abrasions, combustion residues, and water. The oil also has to protect the motor from corrosion and guarantee nothing will be able to get in. Modern motor oils, like LIQUI MOLY, are high-tech products designed for certain car models – basically, they are tailor made for your car. That’s why car manufacturers only give their approval to selected oils, and why we selected LIQUI MOLY as our exclusive product for oil change service.
LIQUI MOLY offers the matching motor oil for your Porsche. Their motor oils have a variety of approvals by German and overseas car manufacturers and exceed the requirements of Porsche. LIQUI MOLY actually has a higher cleaning performance than what is required by the factory.

To ensure the best quality of driving and optimal performance we use the Hunter Engineering’s Tire Changer and ROAD FORCE® ELITE DIAGNOSTIC WHEEL BALANCER. The Road Force® Elite diagnostic wheel balancer delivers exceptional balancing service and performs a Road Force® and balance faster than a traditional wheel balance. The Road Force® Elite solves wheel vibration problems that traditional wheel balancers can’t fix. This diagnostic wheel balancer machine detects non-balance, radial-force related problems associated with tire uniformity, tire and rim runout, wheel to balancer mounting errors and improper bead seat of the tire to the rim. Hunter Engineering is the only equipment trusted by PORSCHE and most other luxury car manufacturers.
What is Road Force Balancing?
Advancements in automotive technology have made achieving an optimum ride more complex.
The demand for more responsive equipment has led to a tighter suspension and lower profile tires. These features make vehicles more sensitive to vibration forces. Standard balancing often proves effective in addressing ride vibration problems. However, there are certain non-balance related factors that standard balancing doesn’t address.
Tire and wheel manufacturing is very precise, but some inconsistencies in weight, stiffness, and balance are inevitable. Called lateral or radial runout, these inconsistencies are low or high points in the tire and wheel construction.
Some tires may have a spot that is stiffer than the rest of the tire. This condition is called force variation. Runout and force variation can cause noticeable ride vibrations. If standard balancing isn’t providing the smooth ride you want for your vehicle, it is possible that runout or force variation are the real culprits. Match mounting and road force balancing can be used to counteract these issues.
Force Match Balancing vs. Road Force Balancing Tires
At one time, the common solution to issues like lateral or radial runout and force variation was matched balancing. Tire technicians would mount a tire and wheel assembly together and align a marked point on the tire with the valve stem on the wheel. This supposedly aligned the high spot in the tire with the low spot in the wheel. However, this process is largely ineffective.
The valve stem is no longer guaranteed to be the low point of runout in the wheel. Wheels have become more complex and more ornate, making the valve stem placement cosmetic rather than strategic. Although force match balancing can still produce results, the most reliable process for eliminating these non-balance based vibrations is road force balancing.
Road force balancing sometimes called ride matching is the most effective way to diagnose and resolve runout or force variation vibrations. A road force tire balancer, a state-of-the-art balancing machine, uses a load-roller to simulate the force of the road, and thereby ascertain the combined uniformity of a tire and wheel package.
Hunter ROAD FORCE® ELITE DIAGNOSTIC WHEEL BALANCER measure the force variation and of the whole tire and wheel assembly. They also measure and distinguish between the radial and lateral runout of the wheel and tire individually, providing a more accurate account of the variant forces at work in the assembly. This information is then used to determine what steps to take to compensate for any tire and wheel inconsistencies. This may mean simply adding weights or even remounting the tire and wheel to minimize the overall runout.
A variety of factors might cause ride vibrations. Standard balancing, match mounting, and road force balancing only address a few of the possible causes of ride discomfort. Road force balancing may only be recommended if standard balancing proves ineffective in diagnosing the issue. If both standard balancing and road force balancing does not address the issue, it is possible that the vibration source is not the tire and wheel assemblies.

PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION
The second biggest investment you will make in your life will usually be your car. It seems like a no brainer to spend a few hours and a few hundred dollars to ensure that the vehicle you are buying is a good investment. Unfortunately, many car owners bring vehicles to us that they just purchased, only to find there were a lot more problems than the seller led them to believe.
Most private sellers know very little about the car they are trying to sell, if you want a good deal, you are going to have to know more than them about the vehicle you are buying. The same rule applies to independent car dealers – who very often try not to know if the car has any issues. They hope their lack of knowledge will somehow keep them from being obligated to doing something when the buyer has issues in the weeks or months following your purchase.
Find Out Why The Car’s for Sale
You should always ask why the vehicle is for sale and who is selling it. There are some obvious examples of the wrong car in the wrong place – why is a Honda dealer selling a PORSCHE was it taken in on a trade in? Who trades a Porsche for a Honda? Only a specialist would know if there was an issue with a Porsche. Of course, there could be a valid reason for this, but it is not a bad idea to ask a lot of questions. Only European car specialists can properly diagnose and fix European cars.
With the internet at your fingertips, there are solid cars and real investment opportunities out there – our pre-purchase inspection is designed to help you make sure you make the right investment and are aware of any issues you may face down the road.
