Available from 2007-2013, the BMW X5 e70 is a second generation, mid sized SUV Crossover vehicle. The e70 line differs from its successor the e53 in that the e70 does not have a manual shifter option. Instead the e70 includes BMW’s iDrive, an electronically controlled, joystick shifter. Because of the technological advancements in this option, it has been known to cause transmission shifting problems, especially after your X5 heats up.
